The golf never ends…After last weeks finale of the European Tour, you would think all of the players are enjoying a well earned rest before the new European Tour season commences next week… No rest for the wicked, or in this case the talented.

The World Cup of Golf has a lot of potential, but has never really lit up the golfing world. There are always withdrawals from a lot of the top players, but the tournament still boasts an extremely strong field from 28 countries worldwide.

Having glanced through the pairings for each country, this is who I believe will be the top 10 finishers on Sunday evening in Melbourne:

9: England 

8: USA

7: Thailand

6: Japan

5: Belgium

4: Italy

3: Australia

2: South Korea

                Champions: Ireland (maybe I’m a little biased, but lets just wait and see…)

It’s been 19 years since the last time Ireland won this title and just looking at this picture of the victorious duo, McGinley and Harrington, well another win is long overdue…
